Ashley Hunter was born in Albuquerque, NM and raised in El Paso, TX. She received her bachelors degree in Music Education from UT Austin, whee she had the privilege of singing under conductors such as James Morrow, Joseph Flummerfelt, and Craig Hella Johnson. She also studied under Robert Duke and Judith Jellison who taught her the fundamentals of teaching music to children and adults. Austin holds a special place in her heart as being the city where she met her husband, Glenn. After their first year of marriage, they moved to Victoria where their two children were born.
As a true New Mexican, green chile is as close to her heart as the music she sings. She believes everyone has the potential to sing and play music, and enjoys helping others achieve their best sound possible for the Lord. When she is not caring for her two rambunctious boys, James and Thomas, she can be found praying, planning and making music along with her husband, who is also a music minister in Victoria. Music ministry has a place for everyone, and Ashley is always ready to help you find yours!
