New Women’s Circle to Be "Hannah Circle"
We meet on the 2nd and 4th Mondays of each month at 7:30 p.m. in the Hospitality Room.
We are studying the book of Proverbs with the help of NavPress’ Life Change series book, Proverbs.
Please call Maureen Sharp to purchase a study book. All ladies are welcome to join the group! Besides the Bible study, the ladies in the Hannah Circle enjoy fellowship, snacks, and prayer together.
Hannah Circle will be choosing some local mission work to participate in, such as Christ’s Kitchen or Habitat for Humanity, in the coming months!

"Make A Joyful Noise Unto The Lord"
The first day of school is almost upon us and that means it is time to get back to the serious-and fun!- business of singing our praises to the Lord! Psalm 100:1 exhorts us to “make a joyful noise unto the Lord.” If you enjoy singing, are able to “carry a tune,” and want to learn more about music by praising the Lord in song, we invite you to join our Early Awakening Choir at 7:30 a.m. on Sundays or our Sanctuary Choir, which rehearses on Wednesdays from 7:15-8:45 and sings at our 10:40 a.m. service on Sundays.
If you are not able to participate in one of our musical groups, please remember to pray for our music ministry and, as often as you can, to thank the many volunteer musicians who work hard to ensure that we are faithful in our call to sing our praises to the Lord!
Grace and Peace,
Jim
WOULD YOU BE WILLING TO
HELP WITH SOUND MINISTRY?
We need a few volunteers to help with our Sound Ministry. If you would be interested, please contact Bob Chambless (579-9060). A training session will be provided for any new members and any existing members that feel they need some refresher training in the next few weeks.
Prayer Ministry Branches Out
John 14:14
“If you ask for anything in my name,
I will do it”
One of the simplest reasons to spend time in prayer is because the Lord instructed us to pray. Obedience is a natural by-product of discipleship. The Discipline (271.) pg. 270 instructs me as a Certified Lay Minister to “provide a care ministry to the congregation”………I invite any brother or sister who has need for prayer to join me and together we will seek guidance through Jesus from the Father and the Spirit.
I will be available in the Seeker’s Sunday School room on Tuesdays from 2:30 to 3:30 p.m. and on Fridays from 9:30 to 10:30, beginning Tuesday, July 13th. I will not be available on the 16th as I will be at School of Mission. Once the Library is completed we will use the Prayer Room. I rejoice in this opportunity to join in this prayer ministry with you. Be assured that our time together is confidential.
Luke11:9 “So I say to you: Ask, and it will be given to you; search, and you will find; knock, and the door will be opened to you.”
Peace, Grace and the Love of
Jesus Christ be with you,
Lori Koonce, Certified Lay Minister
