Bible Study Opportunity
As we approach the Season of Lent and recall Christ's journey to the cross, we have an opportunity to engage in a four-week Lenten study by John Indermark called "Gospeled Lives -- Encounters with Jesus"
"What does it mean to be "gospeled?" Indermark suggests that an encounter with the living Christ demands response. Gospeled Lives covers biblical characters who has such an encounter. Some responded with joy and gratitude. Others ignored or rejected Christ's offer of good news. These stories are accompanied with daily reading of Scripture, written prayers, and suggested exersises.
This four-week study will met in the Hospitality Center on Thursdays during March. The dates are March 4, 11, 18, and 25. In order to accommodate busy schedules, this study taught by Pastor Marilyn and Lori Koonce will be offered twice on each of these dates with the times of either 9am until 10:30 or 6pm until 7:30.
If you are interested in the Bible study, please sign-up in the VIP office and indicate if you will attend the morning or evening session. Deadline to order and pay for book is noon February 15. Cost of the book is $14.00 with checks made payable to FUMC.
