Children’s Church – the R.O.C.K.
(Reaching out for Christ the King):
The R.O.C.K. is an optional service for children in Kindergarten through 5th grade. Children will begin worship service with their parents in the sanctuary and then have the option of leaving after the children’s sermon for a time of worship in the Upper Room. The children will share in upbeat praise and worship music, scripture reading, a message presented in various forms and then conclude in small groups to further discuss the message. Our worship team for Children’s Church will be Brooke Mercer, Scott McLeod, Mike Mercer, Ed Hendrix, and Kyle Harrison. Parents are asked to come upstairs at the conclusion of regular worship to check our their children.
We will not have the R.O.C.K. on communion Sunday or any other significant celebration in the life of our church family. It is important that the children stay connected to the church and the church stays connected to them. We will follow the school calendar and not have the R.O.C.K. during major holidays such as Thanksgiving, Christmas and Spring Break.
