New Ramp
The following letter was submitted to the Victoria Advocate by Sonia Lowery.
“I wish to thank the mission team of the First United Methodist Church of Victoria for helping me in my time of need. This team worked hard, never complaining while building a wheelchair ramp for me which was rather complicated. They gave their time, energy, and knowledge to a complete stranger and I am so grateful to those men of God. I contacted many government agencies and charity organizations that are supposed to help the senior citizens in time of need to no avail. May God richly bless all of the Mission Team. Thank you again. Sincerely, Sonia Lowery”
Without the assistance of many people including those who provided food, supplies and physical labor, this project would not have become a reality. Thank you, FUMC, for your radical generosity!
Mission Work continues
Last week, several volunteers from FUMC began the task of re-modeling restrooms at Telferner UMC. Sincere thanks to each who assisted with physical labor, financial gifts, food or provided support in any way. Your love of God and neighbor continues to touch others.
