The following letter was submitted to the Victoria Advocate by Sonia Lowery.

“I wish to thank the mission team of the First United Methodist Church of Victoria for helping me in my time of need. This team worked hard, never complaining while building a wheelchair ramp for me which was rather complicated. They gave their time, energy, and knowledge to a complete stranger and I am so grateful to those men of God. I contacted many government agencies and charity organizations that are supposed to help the senior citizens in time of need to no avail. May God richly bless all of the Mission Team.
